If you feel like updating with just one page a week is slow, it might be best to try and go out of your comfort zone and try for 2 pages per weekly update.
I started my comic only drawing 8 panels a week, which then spiraled into drawing 40 panels (around 8-10 pages) a week because I felt the story would go too slow if I broke them up. It was real difficult to do the work once it started getting longer, but after I got comfortable with the work my art style and work ethic adjusted to make working on that many pages a week easier.
One page a week isn't a bad thing though, even if you feel like the story is going slow. Almost every webcomic I read is one page a week. If you've already captured your audience then they obviously don't mind the update schedule that you see as slow.
Alternatively, your audience might not mind if you change your schedule to a monthly schedule, and if you feel like it might pick up the pace of the story and make it better, then it's something you should try for maybe a month or two to see if it helps you out.
