Hey, I am new here because the latest tragedy: Inkblazers. I used to read a comic there but I have a really hard time finding it, maybe because the author haven't continued distributing it? I don't remember the authors name unfortunately, nor the name either, but I think it was lily something.
The whole story begins with a woman with purple hair who sets fire to a building, which we later find out that she is a wanted criminal for previous, similar acts. I think there was a murder in between somewhere too. She is called lily or something similar, and therefore the name of the comic I think.
The story is about this afro american woman with short purple hair, a dress and a hat. The story surrounds the beggining of the 1900 - century I think, and she gets involved with this english man who seems to be angry (or maybe snobby?) all the time. He's ginger and wears a costume and if I remember correctly, he's a journalist, but he works for this secret agency or something. They know each other because the woman is a waitress at a café he always goes to. They also live in the same apartment building, their apartments right next to each other. The womans friend (who has black curly hair) who also works at the café knows him better though before the woman and he meets and gets into all sorts of action filled situations. The woman's past is mysterious (was able to read a few chapters last year before the author had to write more, so I don't know if there have been any more revelations) but she used to have long hair before she cut it and followed her big brother and his best friend to the big city, even if her brother ordered her to not follow him and stay home. Her big brother is involved with criminal activites, and is kind of a psychopath (if I do remeber correctly). He also have purple hair and loves his baby sister to no end. The best friend have black, long hair and would give up his life for the brother any time. He's also the quiet type, while the brother can talk to nearly anyone and charm or threaten his way out of anything.
The woman also met three afro american men who knows her brother when she first arrived to the big city. One of them recognized her because he was the brothers' second best friend when they were children (before he moved) and therefore knows very well what kind of activites and with kind of world the brother deals with. He and the two other men helps her and lets her live with them in their house in the ghetto. The three men are also very musical.
This is all I can muster out of my memory, except the time when the english man was kidnapped and was put in a storage building or something. The woman and someone else (whom was a detective or something) rescued him. I also remember this really hot but dangerous bartender who gets a liking for the woman, and he works for her big brother.
Please, if anyone so much as have a clue on what comic I'm talking about, please help me! I think I will go insane if the comic is out there but where I can't find it.
