This is going to be kinda/sort a weird question, though it would be helping me out a bit for any future comics or written stories I may do. (I don't really have any solid plans, so don't ask, just kind of brainstorming a whole lot lately. XP)
Are there any genres that you actually prefer to experience in written form as opposed to comic form or vise versa? Do you think one tends to get across certain things better than the other?
For example, do you tend to go for fantasy novels rather than fantasy comics because you get to picture the atmosphere through a description and thus, have your own vision of the world? Or do you prefer a comic experience so you can see exactly what the characters are seeing? Same question for a sci-fi setting.
Or perhaps drama or romance that are usually all about characters. Do you prefer to read about the characters' interactions and thoughts, or see their expressions and actions in comic form and let THAT show how they feel (or even make you wonder what they're feeling).
What about horror? Comedy?
Or do you take any genre in any format as long as it's good in it's own way?
This is only about written stories or comics by the way, I know movies are another form of telling a story too, but I couldn't go and make a movie that easily so...left that one out. XD
If everybody just says, "Either works", then....well, I'll know not to think about this again later. =P
