Best Place: Swedish burger-chain Max. I'm not really a huge fan of fast food chains in general (I'm a homecooked-food kind of girl), but if I have to go to a burger joint, I go to Max. They do a pretty nice chicken, and their crispy fries are amazing.
Worst Place: McDonalds - only narrowly beating Burger King. I cannot remember ever eating anything at McDonalds that actually tasted good. At most, it achieved a sort of inoffensive blandness, covered in salt and ketchup. Fun fact: my cousin once asked for a burger with out cucumber slices on it at McD's - and got a hamburger bun with only cucumber slices on it. That was one passive-aggressive burger-flipper. Of course, they might have improved - I haven't been to a McDonalds in over a decade.
As for Burger King.... I'm not demanding Michelin-star food when I go to a fast-food joint. I'm not stupid. However, the least I expect out of my food is that it actually taste of something. But the last time I went to Burger King, I was served chicken nuggets so bland that they did not taste of anything at all. Somehow, they were like a black hole of flavour. I poured ketchup and dipping sauces all over them, and they somehow managed to negate the flavour of the sauces. It was insane. It was like chewing wet cardboard, only less interesting.
Wait, you went to a fast food joint called Wienderschnitzel and ate something that was not, in fact, wienerschnitzel? o.O I can't help but think you missed an opportunity!
... Or perhaps not, if your description of the chili cheese dog is anything to go by! XD
