i loooooove mythology, especially celtic. my comic, There was a War, is a (very. lax) retelling of a celtic myth to do with the war between the gods (plus humans) and the sea-giants fomor. besides mine, i dont actually follow any mythology comics on tapastic though :/ however, there is honey and venom, on tumblr - and print comics like wicdiv, red thorn... im actually embarrassingly partial to the loki: agent of asgard title. it was good.
as for amazonomachy (mouthful) - i really like it?? you have really nice expressions and your characters - their thought processes and relationships - are clear and emotive, i really like them. i think there might be some subtext im missing; is pledging allegiance like confessing love, or literally pledging to follow a god - im guessing hippolite is a demi-god like figure - like a priest of theirs? (either way, i ship hippolite and aella)
that being said, i found myself getting a little lost. mainly because your images are very flat; no/little shading, no colour. i think just a little shading would really help you with drawing the eye and guiding your reader through the comic.
i did these in about ten minutes using 3-4 tones, and already i feel a lot more drawn to the image and i can separate shapes and figures at a glance, and differentiate between foreground and background. it makes composition way easier. (the colour aint necessary, u could jus do it in greyscale. but like, personally, i find colour takes only the 10 seconds more to pick a tone (provided ur doing limited palette,) and gives you the extra freedom of seperating scenes w colour and saying smth abt the scene, physically or emotionally. you also get the range from like, say, blue-green to yellow-green, for more differentiation.)
