Here's the conventional drafting table where the original art is made. I try to keep the last eight or so pages up so I can follow the flow of the story...
And here's the digital work station where I fix it so it doesn't look like my 4-year-old drew it!
That's really cool with all your inked pages hanging up like that.
Thanks @scythe! Not only is it inspirational to me but they're the last 14 pages in sequence so as I'm drawing i can look up and instantly get a feel for how the story and images are flowing. By the way I really dug the last The Woken update. Brutal!
What can I say? I love to be in closets!
My art desk and tools, I reorganize it almost all the time before I start drawing. And yes I labeled these because I didn't want people to think I drink water out of a ketchup bottle xD Sorry for the picture spam btw.
I have two workspaces where I get my creative juices flowing...
First pic where creative juice (paint) flows.
Recently I've drawn a lot just using the iPad and a stylus
Me and my 7 year old monitor cause my bigger one broke. This one has a speaker on it though.
My old set up from a year ago
heheh well this was my work space in santa cruz
Complete with pringles
Here's my work space:
I have to hang all of my previous pages because I forget what my characters were wearing. My favorite part of this set up is my Thonet chair that I got an an antiques shop for $40. It's not the most comfortable but at least I know that I am sitting in a beautiful chair while drawing
My workspace looks... somewhat average. I find that I can work on colors a lot easier on the big screen in comparison to the laptop screen. Everything on the laptop just looks somewhat 'blue.'(Ah, speaking of workspaces and different ways of working, I wish I could do more traditional inking and such, but my sweaty hands keep on getting in the way, those damn smudges!)
Are you enjoying the Adonit pen tool? I haven't tried it out but have been eyeing on for quite some time.
I only have the wacom sensitive and one that doesn't have sensitivity. i tried the addonit, but didn't really like it. waccom works well for me though. i tend to paint more than actually do line work ^_^
Oh it's the best! All others broke in less than a month and weren't as precise... The Adonit is still up and drawing!I did have to change my screen protector to glass to avoid scratches but now I am good in the long run.May I ask on which device you're planning to use it on?I haven't tried any other tablets than apple!
