For those of you who are counting it, you can cut out 'slice of life' from you options because APPARENTLY the general reader mentality is 'slice of life = gag comics that are usually about the author'
Had a reader VERY confused why I would label my series as a slice of life when it wasn't 'funny short comics about an artist, it's a long comic about kids going to school????? That''s not what 'slice of life' means'
I also noticed this mentality in a lot of responses in the forums. For whatever reason 'slice of life' has a different meaning on Tapastic than it does on pretty much every other comic hosing website.

As for categorizing, the single genre doesn't work for me either. Tapastic USED to allow you to put it under more than one genre and it worked great (You could pick 3) but that changed. (before that I believe some users were saying you could even pick more than three, but it was abused because people would just pick all of them)
Now my series just hangs awkwardly in drama... even though they have fantasyish elements, is about growing up and living life and has a lot of comedic content. A lot of readers when going to drama expect serious, slow moving stories that only have the purpose of making you cry.
