Hello, hi, taking my first reply ever on the forums to highlight my experience with this beautiful program of beauty, because omg. This program is beauteous.
I've recently switched entirely from Photoshop CS6 and Manga Studio 5 and spent a few days sleepless from pure excitement about the program. There's so many useful things, and it's crazy freaking intuitive. I admit it, I'm not too great with proportions or backgrounds, and the perspective ruler tools and 3D reference models make what was kind of gross to look at a more than tolerable piece of work. They have amazing tools for frames and speech bubbles (both freehand-able for you folks having read this far) that I adore to pieces, plus loads of premade materials to help out the beginners or when you're stumped for ideas/process. Also, pretty gosh darn print friendly. When creating a new page, there's straight up printing templates with this nice little "manga draft settings option" with bleed and everything (admittedly, I don't go for the printable page sizes, so my knowledge here is somewhat lacking). Heck, there's even these chill af little decoration brushes that easily shave off a good hour of my time with effects. The actual brushes, pens, pencils, and others are crazy customizable, and there's a good amount available in the great wide internet that you can just download yourself. Also, the community is generally pretty helpful to both beginners and advanced artists, and with it being directly comic oriented, it's a quick and easy job to find a tutorial/setting for exactly what you want done in your thing, regardless of what it is.
Mechanically, the program actually plays super nice with my Tablet PC and it's touchscreen, so I can just sit on my couch and doodle in my free time. No extra work space required, and with how I "organize" my desk, that's a major relief. My only true complaint is that this masterpiece of a program, while small in nature, sucks up all my RAM quickly when I use the 3D Modeling software. However, this is easily understandable, given that my poor laptop is not a top of the line gaming level PC, and she has limits. Sad limits, but doable limits.
All in all, this program is hella, and if you work in digital, it's a fantastic choice and comes highly recommended. There's a lot of hidden happiness within this thing, so I can safely assure you I have yet to find everything, but everything I have discovered is top notch. Please do.
(( P.S. the basic version (my version) is currently available for around $50, so if you're into crazy good deals... ))
