So I'm currently working on a horror web-manga and shopping around for places to post it. Here and Line Webtoons seem like good places, but I'm in a bit of a rut about if the content of my comic is too much for either site, even with a NSFW tag on it.
To keep it short, my horror comic is a send up to classic slasher movies of the 70s and 80s (Friday the 13th, Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, ect) about a bunch of kids out in the woods with a nigh-unstoppable masked killer in a manga format and Japanese setting. There's a lot of twists and changes to the typical plot and archetype, but I wanted to make sure if the comic would be acceptable.
It would contain: Scenes of intense and somewhat gory violence and death, inappropriate language (that can be censored if need be), and some moments of sexual content (not explicit or pornographic, no exposed genitals and its all drawn in a border-line PG-13 way). All characters in the comic are of legal US Age as well.
Sadly, Line lacks a forum of any kind like on here, so I'm emailing support about it. but I wanted to ask how far is too far for this site?
So remember, this is a slasher movie inspired story, so characters will end up meeting rather gruesome ends, and I wanted to make sure if this violates Taptastic's policies. It would be gruesome, uncomfortable, and at some points outright disturbing, but that's the whole point of a slasher horror story.
But I don't want to get in trouble and shoot myself in the foot if this comic is unsuitable for here or on Line (as I would like to do other less-violent comics after this one is finished) So I wanted to ask, would something like I described be unsuitable for this site? Thanks for the feedback.
