Probably "Great expectations." I've read the Christmas Carol, but I have a nagging suspicion it was abridged, as was Oliver Twist. I love "A Tale of Two Cities" too though, and am currently reading "David Copperfield."
Some of my earlier attempts at writing novels were very Dickens inspired too, and I still think I learned elements from him, like how to make exposition, especially descriptions of scenery, very vivid and interesting, but with my own poetry inspired twist. I'm still working on describing people though.
And oh, well there's an brief breakdown of his life in the front of the edition of "A Tale of Two Cities" I have, so I learned a lot lol.
Wait no - maybe I like "A tale of two cities better."
I feel like the ending is a bit happier in someways.
