Preferably I stick with traditional pen-and-ink simply because I couldn't do digital inking from start to finish, though I can also say I might not have done my work well without digital-editing means.
I've tried digital inking so many times to no avail. No matter how hard or how often I tried to do digital illustration from scratch, and this is true -- no matter how many brands of drawing tablet I owned and tried to use -- the experience of drawing with actual pen and ink initially still feels more comfortable for me. However I DO have to say that the versatility and the freedom of digital cleaning and editing your ink drawing upon scanning is heaven-sent.
My best friend in the digital realm would be my trusty-old scanner; to which afterwards I use digital editing software to clean-up the art, do layouts, do file formats, and publishing it in digital form. I also convert my art to vector images whenever necessary, so I guess I can also say that 'digitizing' art seemed quite convenient and very helpful for me.
My final answer, then? I do both. I start initial inking with traditional pen and ink, then I clean and prep my line art with a computer, and I publish it on-line.
I get the best of both worlds.
